Hey guys, I have been rolling on the stock clutch for a little while now and it is starting to revolt. It does not like the upgraded power. Mods are in the sig.

I was just wondering if anybody could make a suggestion on what to get, or just tell me what clutch you are running, it would be greatly appreciated. It is used mostly on the street. I go to the drag strip about twice a month, with the occasional autoX mixed in too.

TIA.

Ive put on a ACT cluth on my FD. Didn't have any problems with it and loved it. Now I have to put another one on my new car and plan on putting a ACT S/S clutch. If you are looking for mostly street driving and take chicks out in the car....get a sprung clutch. Girls dont really like the jerkyness of an unsprung clutch.

Good call on the girly factor. Thanks man. LOL. The damn thing can be violent with the stock clutch too (when I get on the throttle).

ACT Xtreme pressure plate with Street/Strip disk. Not harsh at all. Its got a harder pedal but it should last a good long while.

I just put on the act ss clutch and pressure plate (about 500 miles ago). Since my stock clutch was dying (slipping over 5000 rpms), it made an incredable difference. I drive the car every day and once I got used to it, the stiffness is no problem at all (even for driving the ladies around). I think the clutch is good for about 400 ft-lbs of torque, so it should be able to handle you mods just fine. I also put on the RB 12 lb flywheel. If your changing your clutch you might as well change the flywheel too (If you have the funds). I couldn't believe the difference this made. The car accelerates like crazy in 1st gear, and has overall more throttle response.

Thats good to hear. I am putting in a new clutch and planned on getting a new flywheel too. But I was looking at the SP 9lb. Might be too light and harsh but I already got a girl

Am I the only one who likes harder pedal feel on a clutch, I can't stand a soft clutch.
