Sounds like the timing fixed a large part of the problem then, at least at idle? Maybe you should try and hit the dyno if russel ever gets around to it and see what your air/fuels are too. At least 1 run with a wideband wouldn't be a bad idea so you'd at least know if you were in the ballpark.

Dave was talking about have a cruise to Gotham for retunes on all our cars, I'm thinking I'll partake in that if my work schedule permits. Have you heard anything about that? Would be a great time.

Too bad I'm nowhere near you. I've fixed many idle problems caused by the PFC hunting idle.

sometimes its not always the PFC causing a crappy idle...



did you mess with any of your idle screws to try and fix anything?

not since the rebuild, we had it idling fine off the stock ecu then when we switched to the pfc it turned to ****. I'm getting it smoothed out though, the timing was a big chunk of it.

You know you could have always saved a copy of the map they loaded up for you. Reset to factory defaults and see if that doesn't improve the way the engine runs until you get a proper tune. If it sucks then just go back to the map they loaded in it.

Just to clarify:



Is there no easier way to change the fuel maps? It says for instance 121 at NE1 and P01, you can't just put in 121, you have to do it as a percentage of stoich, right? So for 400 different points, I have to take a calculator out and refigure each point? Please say no. PLEASE?
