it is the rod/stroke ratio and the bore/stoke that make the biggest difference. this is all stupid though. yea a small stroke big bore (indy) motor will have a different torqe curve than the same displacement passenger car engine. duh... even if they make the same peak torqe number the shorter stroke will generaly make it at a higher rpm so it will make more hp

Q: i was just wondering something, the 13b has a displacment equal to a 2.6l piston engine even though it is only 1.3l right?

A: It is 1.3l and so the displacement isn't equal to 2.6l. People can argue that all they want.

Q: so does that mean a 13b will have the low end and response of a 2.6l pushing equal hp and running a simiular spec turbo?

A: Thats too broad a question, there are too many variables. It could have better, it could have worse. Comparing apples to oranges.

Q: a 13b definatley has better response than a 2l right?

A: Well if you're comparing my 1.3l austin mini cooper which makes 75hp, then yes, my 1.3l FD that makes 255hp stock has bettter response.

formula one cars have a 3liter v10 but they could be downsized to a 2.4liter v8 if the governing body has its way with things
