i don't know anything about transmission issues but my friend's fd got stuck in reverse. What's goin' on?

broken synchro? When I broke a synchro going from 2nd to 5th....I couldn't go INTO reverse. Maybe he put it into reverse and then it broke?

two things it could be



1. sometimes the reverse light switch gets jammed, it needs an extra washer on it, this is really for the miata, but its possible that an fd can do it too



2. vannypoo! 5th gear synchro is broken and a peice of it is stuck in the reverse gear, ive seen this before...



3. it could be a bad shift "finger" bound up shift rod etc etc



there are 3, 3 things is could be!
