Stock Turbo Setup On 3rd Gens
#1
hey everyone. i dont have a third gen nor do i know a whole lot about them. i stick to the gen d and 2nd gen forums for the approximate 7 months i've been on NP. the question i have is did any U.S. spec 3rd gens have stock single turbo. as far as i know, all third gens came stock twin turbo. this guy that i know is dead set on the idea that all 3rd gens come stock with single turbo and the R1 has twin turbo. or he might have said a special edition had twin turbo. now, we made a deal that we were talking about U.S. spec 3rd gens only. but just wondering, how about the ones in Japan? It will help if i have the answer by tonight so i can show him tommarow.
Thanx everyone

All FD's everywhere had the TT system from the factory. Your friend is wrong! I've had guys swear up and down that the RX7 came with a V6 option from the factory too. They'll argue to the death, but they're wrong. Know what I say? "You're wrong. Prove it."

R1 and R2s was just a suspension modification and an extra oil cooler, if i recall.
in japan there were way more variations of the FD. but i think it was more "creature comforts" if u want to call them that. they were all twin turbo, and the only change was the turbos in 99?, which put out 280 as opposed to 250. but it was still a twin turbo set up.
