Phoenix, your car is basically stock, isn't it? Modified ones break.....alot.

^Agreed. Not a criticism, just reality.

But even if it's stock, it's a two seater with no luggage/cargo space, it gets poor gas mileage on premium fuel, is noisey, rides rough, doesn't do well in snow and ice and every piece on it is at least ten years old. Parts are expensive, you can't take it to most mechanics and it's a friggin' magnet for door dings and car thieves. Personally, that doesn't sound like the formula for a DD to me. God I love this car.

I have been daily driving mine since september. It sat for a month when the turbos weren't boosting correctly and I replaced them. I didnt have to, but I wanted to as I was getting low readings on boost on the secondary turbo. I need some excitement getting on the interstate. Only mod I have is a downpipe. I am looking to sell a couple FCs and my 13B-RE motor that is practically new and get another FD for track and fun purposes.

for the sake of your sanity, your bank account, and reliability ... get a daily driver. I drove mine daily the first year I had it. never let me down, but like mentioned above you will allways have the thought of "will I make it?" in the back of your head.

i had to for a couple weeks one time. never again if i can help it. i wanted to shoot myself for putting the miles on, letting birds **** on it, and having a bunch of ******** parking way to close, morons riding my *** in traffic, just driving in traffic...and also i have 83.5k on it so it could possibly go at any time.

saving to get the 2nd gen going, well passing emissions so i can finally get tags and drive that. till then getting people to drive my *** to work.

Been using my FD as my only means of tranportation ever since i got the motor ported. Loved all 5k+ miles i've put on driving it daily.

Before that I drove it on and off maybe 5k miles/year in the 7 or so years i've owned it. I'd say its pretty reliable, i never wonder if i'll make it back...

I will admit that gas is definately a problem no matter how you look at it!
