Simpler Turbo Timer?
#1
I'm not sure if it was in this forum, or another rx7 forum, but there was a thread pertaining to 'water / air intercooling'... where the water "spraying" mechanism lasted 30 seconds (with the flip of a switch.. or button).. I'm not sure if any of you know what i'm talking about.
Anyways, I was thinking last night (whilst laying in bed at 4am).. why not use that "function" or "timer" (sorry, not technical, but I dunno how the thing operates for 30 seconds) and rig it to the oil pump, water pump, and fans? Say you got a "timer" that lasted.. oh, 2 minutes?
My reasoning behind this would be to "Save" money.. not to mention.. more buttons to press is fun
So for example, park the car, take the key out, and flip either 3 switches (water, oil, fan) .. or make 1 switch control it all..
Thoughts?

that MAY work if you figure out how to rig it. go to the websites they posted (it was on the evil forum) n u could get the box for 72.00... but whats the point? a turbo timer used is less than 100 plus u get the added feature of looking at the display and pushing the buttons on the timer....

thanks for replying (finally )
Anyways, here are my reasons...
1) constructing a switch panel which will fall into the unused DIN slot.. just wanted to implement a single switch to push/manipulate.
2) turbo timers are hard to fit somewhere .. without it looking out of place
3) saves me 50 bux for pizza.
4) I like to wire and figure things out.. something new!
