Short In Taillights

well.....



the fuse blow when i turn my tail lights on





brake lights work, and headlights (there on a different fuse)



but the dash lights and the tail lights and rear side lights r on the same fuse



it takes a 15amp but 3-15's and 1-20amp fuses later i know i got a short



the only place i know of the building fell on the owner so i'm fucked



any help is kool

well ou need to look at a wiring diagram, one of the power wires is gonna be a short to ground instead of going to the light (or what have you)

ok so i need to trace all the wires until i see one that is grounded out when realy its hot









well i put my exhaust on and i letf the ground wires off of that

that dosen't matter right

there are a lot of FDs out there has tail light short, seems like

mine is the same way...i havent gotten around to fix it but one of my mech friends bypassed it to a switch...ill be lookin into it soon

it could be something easy like a bad bulb in the tail lights, it happens alot, when it burns out the filament falls to one side and shorts to ground
