I just about have this mother pulled out . But I can't seem to seperate the engine from the tranny. I am not exactly sure why the Wedge collar and wire ring will not seperate. Any suggestions??? Quick response please!!!

Make sure you have that tricky top bolt out, then get the pry bar in there.

That bolt has a screwdriver head on it for a reason LOL

I got all the bolts out. The input shaft won't release. Is there some trick that I am missing to release the clutch release bearing???

I have been tuging like crazy but It juSt won't pop loose. WTF ?????

The throw out bearing shouldn't be stuck to anything. It stays on the tranny side. Put the car in gear and rock it a little, do you have a gap of some sort between the engine and the tranny?

Pull type clutches, you gotta love them. Look into the top view plate and start undoing the bolts that attach the clutch to the flywheel. That's the only way I could do it with a stock clutch. I "think" if you can get a prybar inside, you may be able to undo the lock collar(whatever that thing is called).

Can you get a pry bar or long screw driver in there?

I look like Buckwheat now from black dust from trying the prybar trick. I hadf no luck at al. I had a friend suggest the flywheel/clutch seperation aproach. Is that how you normally do it??
