For some reason i think I am running too rich.. my FD is bascially stock however the gas smell is REALLY strong, by running too rich could it be causing my wierd idle (6-400 ), i know what FDs are suppose to run rich but i don't think they are suppose to make you like tear when get close to the exhaust pipe

the car is basically bone stock with a efini ypipe 54k

i really have no clue how to check if the map sensor is properly hooked up *ne suggestestions how to check?

the car seems to run ok while driving, last time i check i was vac'in 15psi and boosting normally

thank you

mine was also running a good but rich. a few months ago

it was stock and i could smeal pretty strong fuel smeal especially when i got on it.

Before i could figure out what the problom was i mealted my injector housing and had to replace the injectors and housings. i also replaced the feul pump. i do not think that these probloms were because iw as running to rich though.

might help

runnin rich and

smellin raw fuel in your cabin are two different issues..

you may want to check your fuel evaporative system and fpd..among other things

Dont play around with fuel man. If you smell gas you need to be finding out what it is before you drive it anymore. There have been numerous people that have watched thier car melt to the ground in about 5 minutes from fuel leaks.

Dont wait, find out the problem RIGHT NOW

Yea fuel is no joke. When my car was gettin worked on the fuel pulseator blew up in the guy's face. That's the #1 cause of engine fires in a FD. Good thing it did it there. 200 dollar part thou

you might also want to check/change your converter. it's about time you get a new one anyway. There might be a lot oil/fuel residue in there.
