My car is running RICH AS HELL. I was just wondering what would most likely cause this prob. One of my friends told me that it was prob the O2 sensor, but that is kinda expensive to replace if that isnt really the problem.

its prolly not ur o2 sensor because when u stomp on the gas ur engine ignores ur o2 sensor and goes to open loop i believe.which then goes to maps that are in ur ecu.wat mods u have done?

Not too much done to the car. At idle the Air/Fuel gauge dances in the green (you can smell it running rich too). The car has Apex N1 catback, street port, and that is it (as far as I know). Guy before me ran into probs and wasnt mechanically inclined so he wanted to get rid of the car and not work on it. The twin turbo assembly isnt running right (only gettin 6 lbs boost) and I dont know if all the vacuum lines are hooked up right. I get my service manuals today, so I will try and check all my vacuum lines tonight, but fri night, and dont really think i will be home too long .

Does that help any???

You 'll have to do a vacum hose job to fix your boost problem

get the hose here

www.hosetechniques.com

Kit will run you about $120. Just get some good diagrams for the vacum hoses here.

www.iluvmyrx7.com

You have to take the UIM off and it should take you about 4-5 hours first time you do it. Just make sure you slice the hoses off and twist dont pull or tug!! First time you break a solinoid you will see why.

As far as the rich idle. I'm honestly not real versed in that stuff yet. Try asking Rikki he couod most likely point you in the right direction.

So redo vacuum lines hmmmm........

I am gettin ready to do a single turbo upgrade and dont have emissions here, and have been told that I can basically get rid of ALL The vacuum lines and stuff. Woudl this prob solve the problem then, doin the upgrade??? How true is it that I can take out the hoses and stuff??? Any place that tells me what I can remove and stuff???

I am just trying to get it running right so when the body work comes (since it is wrecked) it will be ready to drive when body is done.

thanx

Ben

LOL. The onlly prob with JUST going non sequential is that my turbo setup aint running right as is, that is why I want to do single turbo upgrade .

So I cant get rid of the vacuum lines with doing this right???

I just want to simplify the engine as much as possible and with no emissions here I can go all out, what can I remove????

With non sequential, you will have like 7 vacuum lines. Just about as simple as a single. And you won't need quite as complex of a Tuning job..
