Has anybody devised a system to avoid running out of fuel when at boost to avoid blowing your engine?

I know we shouldn’t be stupid enough to get the gauge down that low but wouldn’t it be better to incorporate a system that would somehow stop the car from boosting when the fuel level gets to a certain point.

And I do understand the theory: if you build it idiot proof they will just build a better idiot…

But I was just wondering if anybody had considered it?
