I managed to get a moment to install Dragon's differential brace over the weekend. Took me a bit longer than planned while I figured out how it fit in there. Fitment was good and the bolt holes lined up. The only caveat I had was that I needed to tighten the bolts in order for the driver's side connection to lay flush the way it's supposed to. This may be my car and not the brace. It sat about an inch off the mating surface.

Once installed, I took the car out and immediately noticed that I had eliminated a creak I'd been hearing recently. The whole rear end felt much tighter and the car seems to track a bit straighter than before. Increased vibration was negligible, limited to low-rpm lugging that disappeared above 2K rpm. It made such a difference I am now set on adding a roll bar to the car as well. For the money, this simple mod cannot be beat. I have a GReddy Power Extreme and the fit was fine.

i def want the diff brace but the trans brace scares me because i hear they cause alot of vibration and i dont want the ladies to think my car is a piece of crap and it might get annoying. they might like it for other reason though!

any comments on the vibration of the braces?

Does the addition of the solid engine mounts, tranny brace and diff. brace account for a lot of vibration, or just some.

Oh and as for the ladies liking the car, who cares. I mean the RX7 is one of the best looking cars int he world, not to mention the moste unique. So if she cant understand that the vibration makes your car just that much better then its time to move onto the next one.

But, hey your right, she may like the vibration Go for a quick ride and then taker her back to your place. The 7 never lose's

I haven't suffered wheel hop on my car for some time (M2 trailing/toe links plus Tien coil overs) on the street and I had virtually none at the drag strip the last time I went. I am going to wait to hit the strip until I am tuned. I have an appointment next Tuesday to tune the car. Can't wait!
