I have read in many places and friends keep telling me that the rotary engine is not relaibale as compared with the pistons engine it can not handel a lot of boost in stock trim...is this TRUE? can the stock engine last under 20 psi of boost of a T51R Turbo or similar and if it can what would be the HP numbers as we dont have any dyno facility in Pakistan.

Take everything you think you know about a piston engine and toss it out when you work with one of these. They are completely diff. animals. Aside from a few basics that is.

They can be reliable but put it this way, the more HP you sqeeze out of any car the more you shave off the motor life span. Just read up on it and you'll see, PSI dosn't equal power.

+1, but that doesn't mean that you can't get more out the engine with out toasting it. Reliability is also affected by the way you maintain your car. Do the reliability mods (do a search), do your oil changes every 2K-2.5K & things like that. They will help with getting as much life out of your car as possible.

its complete bullshit... My current engine went about 5-6 years @ 450HP. I'm only boosting .8 kilo w/ a 67-1 1.15 A/R turbo. It all comes down to the tune.. the guy that owned my car before me (Igy on here) tuned the **** out of this car. As long as your engine is built with all new parts and built correctly and you get a good wideband on it with a good tune you should be fine.

But like DJRcustoms said, you start pushing out really high HP on any engine, its just not going to last that long.
