F it. I just forced the original undertray into place and cut off the pieces that were touching. Seems to work well

Well I dont run up to 94C now. I still have to cut away some more of the inner duct but other than that it works great.

I love zip ties :bigok:

Did you ever get the belly pan back on?

I was going to say.... just stick a flat piece of sheet metal up there to make sure that the air goes through the radiator instead of under the car..... Has anyone else done this??? I dont have my stock one anymore (got demolished in the wreck)

I was thinkin something like this (jt-imports sells this for the j-spec from mazdaspeed)

here is what is cool. the duct actually really works. you can blow in there and feel the air run to the radiator. i can not tell you any cooler numbers because i do not log them like i did for the intercooler survey.

fd3, yes i put the belly pan back on, but going into this winter, it got so brittle, it cracked alot and was too difficult to keep on. i am now in the shop at night making a custom one out of fiberglass and will post pics as soon as i get it done. it will be similar to an aftermaket undersweep that i have seen. i also have made provisions for an angled duct that comes upwards and boxes the bottom of the radiator in.....

hopefully it will work as i have invisioned...
