The Schroth belts are very high quality. However, I think the main reason people shell out the $$$ for them is that they are "US DOT-legal." Many of these folks don't understand that that is true only for the specific harnesses installed in the specific cars listed in the Schroth Vehicle Reference List: http://www.schroth.com/pdf/2002-02-28_USA_FZL_2-3.pdf



Note the FC is on the list with the Rally 3 belts bolted into the stock locations, but the FD is not.



If you're getting 5 or 6 point belts to meet competition sanctioning organization regs, you've got a lot of choices out there, many of which are less expensive than the Schroth. If the SCCA's 2-year rule on harnesses affects you, something to think about.

I bought them to be NHRA/IDRA legal.



I had a set of sparco 4points, They were horrible. I could never actually get 'tight' in them. The RCI's do much better, even without the submarine belt. I'm sure my seat change helped that too.

I have the schroth 4 points. Had them for 3 years. excellent quality.
