Racing Harnesses

I'm looking around at 6 point racing harnesses and came across these: http://www.subesports.com/products/?cartID...roth&prodID=588
Has anyone had any experience with these or know someone who has? If so, do they tighten up well to hold someone in the seat and how's the comfort? Thanks for any help.

i have heard people say that scroth is good. i have never seen or used one so i cant comment on it. but it does seem a little bit expensive. i have been pricing 5pt harnesses and i like the sparco 5pt the best so far.

202.99 for a 6pt sparco compared to your 299.95 scroth 6pt harness.

I know that 5 points are good and all, but I really would rather have it "split" so as not to be all over little Jared. (Referring to my ****.) Anyone care to comment on any comfort issues? I know I'll need to get some pads for the shoulders.

properly installed.... the 5th point isn't gonna touch you... it's to prevent the rest of the harness from riding up on you in the event of an accident. Tighten the lap belt so that you can't move, then hook the sub belt, then tighten your shoulder belts down. The lap belt should be well clear of your family jewels..I've used several brand 5points and a 6point . The 6 point is VERY uncomfortable at first but you get used to it. I'm back to using RCI 5points for now though.

Unless you're doing a lot of racing, 5 or 6 points are a real pain on the hole and IMO not worth thew hassle over a 4-point. A good 4-point is almost as good anyway.

As good for what? I've never used a 4-point harness that I could snug the shoulder straps up enough to keep me firmly in my seat that didn't pull the lap belt up over my pelvic brim. In the event you ever needed the harness, the lap belt would cut you in half!

"legal" for what? State DMV regs or racing?
