I ordered the Racing Beat revised intake (replaced that piece that goes from the stock airbox to the intake hole on the intercooler inlet).

I messed around with it a bit today but I think it's a piece of crap. Sure it looks like it flows a hell of a lot more but the fitment is a bitch. Plus it was missing some hardware that was supposed to come with it. And relocating the fuse box doesn't look like it'll work too well.

I think I'm going to try to return it if they'll let me...

Anyone else had any experience with this?

I think I'll just buy the M2 intake box someday...

try searching for modifying the stock airbox. It only requires some plastic cutting and a little work with bending sheet-metal. Prolly get better results and for cheaper too.

Kinda a PIA cutting the stock box and drilling out the old elbow otherwise it works fine for me. Just don't use silicon to seal it - you'll be sorry the next time you need to get it off. Took me a few minutes to figure out the relay move thing...

You can drill holes in the bottom of the stock air box and still use the RB duct. I believe you can also get the '96+ stock inlet duct which separates the intake from the intercooler so it does not pull air through the intercooler. Kinda pricey to do this and probably only worth it if you race SCCA A Stock (virtually no mods). BTW: Pulling air through the intercooler is only a problem at very low speed and high RPM.

You could also just drill out the stock elbow from the box and route a custom duct to feed it, eliminating the need for the RB duct. This would allow the stock '93-95 intake duct (from the nose) to only feed the intercooler...
