I recently bought my car.. and the previous owner removed the Air bag steering wheel. Well this caused the Air bag light to start flashing... apparently this didn't bother him that much. But it did me.. so I removed the light bulb... now I have a beeping every time I start my car.. it's a series of three beeps that repeat about 6 or so times(never actually counted them). the beeps started after I removed the bulb... and I also notice that my high beam light(on the console) doesn't come on.. could be a bad bulb(haven't checked yet).



And for the Air bag... is there anything else that I can remove that is related to the Air bag??

Go to the front and remove the bumper. The sensors for the air bags are up front.

 

Great topic! I often wondered how I would handle the air bag situation when I replace the steering wheel. So removing the sensors will stop the flashing light and beeping in Bret's case?

there also is a brain box under the dash, this is where the beeping is coming from.

Vosko.. as soon as I get off of work before it gets dark... by this weekend I should be able to get some.

 

It's a black box {square{ right next to your right leg} just unplug all of the wire plugs, I did not reomved any sensor neither the light so and I have the efini streeing wheel and I unplug the wire from the box and all the beeping when away and the light, Jon what type of steering wheel u have? Is it the RED STICH?

When I put in my momo I bought a small relay box that completes the circuit and keeps the light and beeps off.
