Last step fellas.. All I need is a boost controller. Amel is letting me use a manual one for the mean time so I can at least get the car broken in a bit... But I would like to get an electronic controller. Anyone have experience with both? Recommendations? Thanks!

Justin

what is a powerfc boost controller kit?

Actually I think I've heard the AVC-R is a really sweet unit. It CAN control the boost when you really lean on it. It also has the "gear based boost". You can vary boost settings by gear or RPM so you can get better traction down low.

Turbosmart is supposed to be pretty nice too.

I've used the AVC-R before on DSMs...Pretty nice. I'm looking for something a LITTLE more simple I think..

Not familiar with turbosmart..

From what Dragon was saying the PFC boost controller uses the AVR connector/harness. I am still using manual for now, but I think I would screw something up messing with the settings. Now I have to get out and adjust it, so it really has to be important cuz I am lazy!!

Personally I would go with the Profec B, the new Spec II's are pretty slick. I might ebay mine and get a new one LOL

If you purchase the AVC-R solenoid, it will plug into the stock wiring harness and the power FC can control boost with that. That's what all the Power FC/Japan users use. It cost me $150~.

As a stand alone boost controller though...you can't beat the Profec B.
