what boost controller would you use if you were running the power fc, would you use the fc controller or would you use another seperate one?

Depends how much boost you are planning to run. The power fc does controll boost but since it uses the stock solnoid, it has trouble once your exhaust flows too well or you try to run too much boost. I would get the pfc boost kit or a seperate boost controller.

That is the PFC boost kit that he was referring to. It uses an AVC-R solenoid from what I remember..

I'd recommend a Profec-B, just because I've always used it and it works GREAT!

The pfc boost kit consists of an upgraded solnoid and a 3 bar map sensor. The same solnoid is used in the avc-r and probec b spec 2. I've used the pfc by tiself for boost control, as well as both the regular profec b and the spec 2. I didn't like any of them. I'm not sure what I am going to use next. Maybe profec e-01 or sbcid.

I have the AVC-r, my engine popped on a boost spike to 18psi (set boost at 12psi). I'm not saying it was the AVC-r but I'm probably going to be changing to something else soon. I know it wasn't the operator either (Steve Kan was tuning it). If it would have been me, then I'd say it wasn't the AVC-r but I trust Steve's tuning skills a **** load more than I trust a solenoid. I'd rather spend the extra cash now then have it spike on me again - even if it was just time for the engine to go.

[In NO way am I laying blame for the engine on Steve, he will be tuning my new engine. I'd have him tune my car in a heartbeat.]
