Another way that will test the spark plugs is rev the engine slowly as possible

and watch for any break up, if they are fouled they will break at around 5000rpms and if it doesnt go to 7000rpm and if you dont get a break up, I would say its not the ignition..

It's hard to gauge how fast your car is because the FD is already a VERY FAST car stock. WHn I test drove a few FD's I was scared to get on it because they were too fast I felt. But, wh nI fixed by car and it ran great, I felt even worse than with the FD's. So, it could be you since you already got used to it, otherwise, you could be loosing power, it's not uncommon!!!
