I'm trying to do the fd3boost's non seq mod while my engine is out but I got rid of my crv and ccv, I have heater hose bridging the 3\4 in nipples on the y-pipe (where the lines of the crv and bov used to be). I have a hks ssqv between my intercooler and the intake elbow piping. how would i do the first three steps of his post?

my mods as listed

hks ssqv

AEM ems

3" catless exhaust system

fresh stage 2 engine(wild street port) from Ern @ rx7 world

custom twin short ram intakes

aem wideband

v-mount in prog.

Well lucky that I just peeked in here since your following my how to. Since you already got rid of the charge relief and charge control you shouldn't have to do anything other than make sure you have the open vacuum nipples all capped off when you put it all back together. If you have the engine out of the car why dont you just do the full version though?

JBs93FD 03-19-2007 08:37 PM

its depends on what i have to do I already have everything but the uim and the waterpump/alt assembly on the engine, its still on a stand though. btw spent over 300 on just gaskets and o-rings dont want to do it again!

There is a seperate how to posted in above in the FAQ. Really the only extra thing you have to do is to remove the wastegate flapper door from inside the turbo manifold.

sorry to be a pain, but is anyone able to tell me if im able to do the poor mans version if im changing to a stand alone ecu (microtech lt10s), or am i going to have to do the full version.

JBs93FD 03-20-2007 08:03 PM

so tell me if this is right. I capped off the two hardlines that used to feed the TCA, also capped off both nipples that are on the CCV, bridged the nipples on the y-pipe, and capped the 3 etra nipples that are on the LIM. I going to remove the flapper 2morow. That should be it right, i shouldnt have to splice anything to bov?

You can run the poor mans version also.

No I honestly think that step is pointless. Understand that I was shown how to do the poor mans version by a friend a few years ago. I since have a different understanding of it. I don't see why you need to T in the crv to the bov. I think it would work the same without that step.

the crv has to be hooked up right. I have both nips capped right now. If i did hook both lines back up the crv the one going to the y-pipe would be taken since that nipple and the other on the y where bridged. what to do?

JBs93FD 03-21-2007 02:29 PM

the only thing i have hooked up are the wastegate control and precontrol actuators. is this right

You want to hook the CRV up to any manifold vacuum source.

Just take off your "Y" pipe and eliminate the flapper inside and plug the hole. For non-seq the ccv is just in the way.
