ok this is difficult to explain the location but i will try my best. there are 2 triangular pieces of black plastic that go on both the passanger and driver doors. they are above the door panel. one goes on the direct opposite (meaning inside the car) of the door handle. the other goes on the direct opposite(again meaning inside the car) of the side view mirror. well they are held on by little metal clips. but i have seemed to either loose them or break them, so those plastic triangles no longer stay put. does anyone know what the hell i am talking about, or where i can buy more of these clips to hold these plastic pieces in place?

I've always referred to them as barrel clips. Those are pretty large as barrel clips go, so other than getting used from a parts car (probably with the entire trim piece), the only other possible source would be a collision shop that carries an assortment.

well i already have the pieces of plastic, they came with the car, but they were held on by some wadded up duct tape. im just trying to find the clips because if the windows are open and the plastic pieces are held on with tape they just fly off while im driving. if nobody knows where to get them, has anyone come up with any other solutions as to how to keep them on? i was thinking maybe skrew them in but then you would have the eyesore of skrews. if i glue them on then i cant take the door panel off. im just really out of ideas.

not to be a dick .. but did you try a mazda dealership ????

When I still had my FC .. I went to get a price quote on a complete exhaust ( sit down before they tell you ) and I look on the monitor when he looked everything up .. and they can get EVERYTHING.... he had part numbers for the washers and stuff. I would just go there, and have them pull up the image of the door and then just start pinpointing...

Don't glue or tape them again. Why be ghetto like the last guy?

You should be able to get them by posting a WTB ad here or on the other forum. Someone parting a car out will have them and they shouldn't be too expensive. I've also seen them up on Ebay occasionally. But as I said before, you'll probably have to buy the whole piece, not just the clip. Big deal.

dont worry, i dont take comments personal. plus its a very good idea. the only reason i havent gone to mazda is because they like to charge your soul for parts. i will make a trip over to the mazda dealership sometime this weekend and find out how many limbs it will take for a couple clips. ha ha
