i heard from someone that you can set the pfc so you can shoot flames upon deceleration when the a/c switch is down.....

the claim is a lil far fetched for me..... so can anyone varify this?

yeah, thats not exactly true. if you have the datalogit hooked up, it has an "anti-lag" function, to keep the turbo spooled while waiting for the green light(drag racing). It will dump lots of fuel, and make some fire for sure. I have also heard that it is not the best thing for the engine though

Yeah the anti-lag thing is also called "boom boom" It's not a good idea. It spools the turbo off the line by dumping alot of fuel and retarding the timing so that the fuel accutally explodes inside the turbo housing which spools the turbo instintly. at least that's what i'v been told.

I thought there was another way of shooting flames with the PFC.

ok heres how to do it:

In your fuel settings, set the deceleration setting to 8000rpms. This causes fuel to be dumped in whenever you're not on the throttle. Run up to the top of say 3rd gear (lotsa fuel) and then let off the gas while KEEPING THE CLUTCH ENGAGED! It'll throw out a flame and then if you get good at feathering the gas you can keep it going

The Anti-lag as it is commonly referred to is similar to a 2 step rpm switch used on the piston cars at the track. The largest factor in all of this is the quality of the equipment you are using, thin walled OBX turbo manifolds will not hold up to this abuse and will crack from the explosion in the exhaust runner and exhaust housing instead of within the chamber itself. If you are running a straight through exhaust like the corksport it will be as loud as a shotgun going off behind the car. If your using something like the racing beat dual it will blow the seams out of the mufflers and the baffle material inside will give up over time. remember this is only used for spool up of the turbo, so you do not need to sit on the line for 2 minutes running it, a few pops is all it takes. A lot of people complain about using this and the stuff breaking, it is a lot harder on components, but most of this information comes from the rally and circuit parts of racing, for drag use it is not as bad because the unit is only used 10-30 seconds at a time, and not every 5 seconds or less like in a rally or circuit course.
