Will the 93 pettit ecu will work in the 94 models without any problems? Ive heard it may screw with the EGR and make the check engine light come on...is this true?



My car is a 5 speed non-cal

 

Heres the weird thing about that...IIRC the 93's EGR was controlled by vaccuum....but the harness still had the harness connector for an EGR, and in 94 they went to the electrically operated one. I am in the process of swapping out my stock 94 ECU with a 93 Pettit Unlimited so i will post in here how the car runs. Cant help with the check engine light though, as mine has been on for a long time after removing ALLLLL the solenoids.

Put the ECU in, she starts up and runs fine. No CEL on startup, which the EGR normally issues, so my guess is that it's able to control it
