Overboosting
#1
i have a 93 rx7 with a 2002 motor from japan. yes it has the "black box" and works great! the engine came with the new style turbos that work great. the mods i have done to the car is greddy front mount intercooler, 3row radiator, intakes, turbo back exhaust. i have a jdm chipped ecu but i have a problem with the turbos overboosting!! what can i do or buy to stop this problem?

keep the cat for one. The Profec is the easiest to use boost controller. If you're feeling brave, the AVC-R works well. If you're going el-cheapo www.robrobinette.com has the home depot manual controller how to.

i have already took off all the emissions stuff. airpump, acv, egr, and cat's. what a pain it would be to put it all back on! i think im going to go with the power fc. doesnt it have a built-in boost controller? thanks guys!

Backpressure from a cat is the best way. The factory ECU can control boost very well. PFC also has great boost control for stock twins and the PFS purple.
yeah factory main cat is the best boost controller
