ok, guys i just got my car smogged today... it took an hour and a half. there was two things that stopped my from passing.... the hc level and the co% the hc was not suppose to have more than 100.. i had 1200 and the co% was 1.0.... i had 6. something. after an hour and a half we found out that a hose that connects from the intake manifold to the fuel pressure reg..... now here is the funny thing.... there was a plug on the intake side.. why was that??? is there a trick or something??? but after we installed a new hose, the car was running much much leaner ( was running really really rich). now i passed the smog test and the car is running much much smoother... damn i didn't notice it...but my car wasn't really running right before.. what was that hose for?????

Uh, that hose goes to the manifold and as your boost increases it pressurizes that line which makes your fuel pressure go up. Like wise when your under vacume like at idle it creates a vacume in the line which keeps your fuel pressur lower. If you totally unplug it I'm not sure what it would go to BUT, I'd probably guess that at idle and up to 0 boost you were running too much fuel pressure and under boost you were probably running lean (which is very bad )

so i should leave it on right??? cause man... my car haven't driven this nice in about a year. ooo also.. lately i've notice that when i floor the car, at 4500 - 5000 rpm the second turbo makes a swooosh noise.. the car loses power, and at about 6000- 6500 the turbo kicks back in... why is that??? is it a vacuum problem??? any ideas???

do you have a boost controller? it might be a problem with it's settings.

if not, it might be a problem with your secondary turbo. when your car is sitting, rev it up to about 7500rpms, do u get 5psi of boost or lower? if lower theres a problem with your turbos.
