Oil Pan Removal
#1
I'm trying to change out the gasket from the oil pan and I don't have enough room to clear the subframe.. according to the direction given i would have to unbolt the powersteering rack? I was curious which bolts these are? anyone have a picture refering to them? thank you

first of all, if you want to complete this job, you're gonna need an engine hoist in order to lift the motor off the engine mounts...that'll give you enough space to get at the oil pan bolts.
but i couldn't remove the oil pan without dropping the subframe. either way, you're gonna need an engine hoist.
as for the power steering rack, if you look at the section of the subframe towards the front, you'll notice a long bar running from the passenger side to the driver's side with two rubber boots one on each end, that's the power steering rack...then you'll notice 2 clamps holding it down towards the center...there are 4 bolts you'll need to loosen...but even after you loosen it...it only gives you a little bit of clearance
