It's called pre-mixing. I know a lot of people that do it as well and I will likely start doing it. It's just extra lubrication for the rotor to help prevent iron scoring or worse.

I assume your FC has the OMP (Oil Metering Pump) as well (my FD does but not sure when they implemented that). A lot of people delete this and just go straight pre-mix. I like the extra safety, I guess..

4 oz per tank of fuel. I was doing some reading on it and a lot of people are suggesting MMO (Marvel Miracle Oil I think it is) but any synthetic 2 stroke oil can be used.

best oil for premixing is castor "banshee" 2 stroke oil. synthetic oil is garbage for wankels....

Usual recommended amounts:
1/2 oz. per gallon WITH a working OMP
1 oz. per gallon if OMP has been deleted.
MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil) is NOT a lubricant as much as it is a solvent. So I would NOT recommend it as a pre-mix. Get ashless 2 stroke oil. Everyone has a favorite brand, just like favorite breakfast cereals.
To the OP, Get a copy of the Factory Service Manual (FSM) and study it. It will help you understand your car and it's relatively unique engine way better than "some friends".
FWIW.....I can't recall off-had when the 2nd Gens. moved from a mechanical OMP to an electrical. But IIRC you can't remove the electrical OMP without going into limp mode.
