I changed out my oil the other day and now I have this odd idle. The car goes from 1-1.5k for about 7 sec and the steadies at a normal idle at about 1.2K. Any ideas?

could it be the aws?

the computer automatically revs the engine for a few seconds after you first turn on your car to warm it up. thats what aws does. then it settles back down to a normal spot for idleing

knocked a hose off?

This is actually after the car has been running for awhile...it never stops....well it does stop....after 7 or so secs

Mine does that too. I assume that the idle takes a few seconds to adjust itself.

I'm pretty sure that it is nothing to be worried about.

Is your engine stock or ported?

AWS revs to about 3000 Rpms then goes down. If it revs lower then that I think it isn't working right. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif
