non sequential help please
hey all, have got a s7 rx7 with fmic, pods, and full 3" exhaust and mazdaspeed down pipe. ive decided to go for non sequential and read countless threads about it on all different sites but follwed the "poor mans" one on this site. i have a few questions...what is the pre control solenoid? if youre looking at the engine is it the solenoid on the left or the right? ive gone with the on eon the left, did the mod and now i get no boost 1st 2nd and 3rd til it gets to about 6-7000rpm then shoots up to 10psi....any one know what oculd be causing this?? im in NZ and thers not many people familiar with these turbos . cheers,
Jarrod

so im straring to get fucked off with this boost prblem, have gone and double checked non sequential and everything is done as per the thread, now i have free boost...like 20psi free boost....until i change gear. i have tried a boost tap and no luck, do i need the pre control solenoid and the unit at all??? stupid twin turbos...need to be much more simple and effectiuve
poor mans non sequential mod is a big headache, i have no boost control what so ever in any gear with any boost controller and have tried every different way of plumbig the vacuum lines and still nothing. WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE PRE CONTROL ACTUATOR? i have read you need to disconnect that too.

been a looonnnnggg time since i had the twins so my mind is a lil fuzzy on which solonoids do what... But, i have all the paper work back at my shop, i'll look at it later tonight.
As far as the precontrol, yes, it needs to go away. I didn't do the poormans mod on it, just take the turbos off and do it the right way. It's not that bad of a job to do...other than breaking studs/bolts off in the manifold.

thanks for the reply, yeah i found the full non sequential setup on rx7club and have thought about doing it but now i stepped back and said to myself "fark it, single turbo for the win". so ive purchased a manifold now and am in the process of changing it over, if i ever have to take the twin turbo off i wont be putting it back on...thats my theory anyway haha. so for know i have to be wathcful of my boost guage and not overboost it in a hurry....hori as i know but wont be for long

if you are gonna do a single... i'd go ahead and hook all the seq-twin stuff back up now. Otherwise, you'll be doing a single turbo at the same time that you're rebuilding the engine. With a full exhaust and no wastegate mods... you aren't gonna be able to control the boost, you didn't say anything about an aftermarket ECU either. That's a bad thing also.
