ITs fine! Usually the singles will produce less heat than twins pushing same amounts of air.. Unless your planning to make 500+ HP or tracking your car (not drag), I wouldn't worry about it too much.

excellent, now i see a 60-1 or a 62-1 turbo in my future real soon..

If you have the money, I would go with Garret GT turbos.. 35R or some hybrid.

I've always liked the 35/40s.

I just want to tell you guys something.. so my brother calls me up and says hey get overhere, so I drive over and there is a FC in his driveway.. I get out and im checking out the car and my brother comes out and says, Hey about the nitrous question you were asking I made a few phone calls and stuff and there is a guy of a guy I knew lol sad huh? that is running nitrous on his RX7. now this is a FC not a FD but he popped the hood and it was a twin turbo fd motor under the hood.. with nitrous works power wing kit. the guy came out and his name was billy, (I mentioned this website to him too so hopefully he joins) but hes running 12psi of boost though a FMIC and a 75hp shot of nitrous... he has a power FC like mine and he has it dyno tuned. He took me for a ride in it and WHAAA its a fast car.. we were goin around 75-80 when he punched it with the spray and let me tell ya there wasnt much that was going to keep up with us lol... I was very impressed..

Anyways what I am getting at is that it is possible to run nitrous on these motors.. I asked him about tuning and he says he had the car dyno tuned before adding the nitrous and he contacted nitrous works and they helped him out. He says he pretty much started with the smallest jet and a wideband and worked up till he got to his goal while still keeping a good A/F ratio... lol i know it sounds easy, but I know its a pain in the arse but hey its totally possible and will be very tiem consuming for those who want nitrous like vin diesel!! :-)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING NOPISTONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well herb, I want to be able to produce with a single around 420hp at the wheels with only around 12-13psi, and has anyone been able to run like 20psi through one of these motors on a street car? consistantly? what normally breaks when you get in those upper HP levels?

No one here said you can't add nitrous.. I think all of us said its not an easy task and hard to tune. If you have a guy who's willing to help you with it and your heart is set on Nitrous, GO FOR IT!!

Maybe its not hard to you, but I say most people who own a turbo charged rotary with standalone feels uncomfortable about tuning.. Hence most people get Steve or BDC to get their car tuned. Even those guys feel unease about tuning nitrous or high boost cars. I don't even know where to start??

RONIN FC 11-24-2006 12:19 PM

For the most part, a "wet" 50 shot would be independent from EMS/ECU. Other than a slight timing change.

An off the shelf 50 shot setup is already tunned so rich. There is a pretty big safety margin.

Not trying to argue, but I dont see it as a big deal if its all within reason.
