Hi guys I was recently a Honda Enthusiast untill I realized how much money I put into my 2000 civic Si and at only ran a 14.0. the car was then later stolen, and recovered stripped. So now im moving on to Mazdas. I think the whole rotary design is very cool but how reliable is it.

My plans are to buy FD model Rx7 as soon as i get all the info and details. Are they reliable for everyday use, how often do they need apex seals, and are the parts expensive, for example how much is another motor if i were to blow the original one?

any info is greatly appreciated

Mine was pretty much stock, just bolt ons, and I daily drove it. Not very comfortable, not very fuel efficient, no room in the trunk, and needed an oil change every 1500 miles. Other than that they are great as a daily driver. I still love the car, and plan on getting another one. It is the coolest car you can buy for anywhere need its price, but I will not be using it as a daily driver.

Well you won't have to be ripping apart the motor every 6 months unless you trash it (which alot of people do...).

Still looking to get my hands on one.

i find it harder and harder to get a realization of what exactly trashing a car is to me i think trashing a car is redlining it all the time and doing random power brakes and just flooring it everywhere.

whats some of you guys definition of trashing and whats going to far if you do it to much and ruing the car.

it seems like some people seem to say like accelerating quick everyonce and awhile is destroys your car which probably does, is even this to much and will blow a motor all the time?

Didnt we all discuss this under the top ROTARY RELIABILITY?!

just a few sections down.

I've had my 3rd gen for 5 years now and only put 25k on it so far!

i barely drive it.
