hi am new to this site and i have a couple of problems my new dream car that i just purchase wont start my dash wont work the car was sitting for a little over 3 years in south dakota know am in orlando i checked the spark plugs there fine i also check the starter shes fine and for the dash i checked the fusses under the the driver side fuss box and there fine dont know what to do can any one help and if any one has head light covers let me know or jdm back seat.............................................i first turned the key and i heard a spooling sound but the belts on the motor would not turn and there was no crank at all so i took the starter of to see if the solenoid was broken or the starter crank wasn' working but when i brung it to advance auto they tested it and it works fine and i still have the issue with the dash it wont work....

check the fuses in the engine bay too and the worst possible thing is its seized due to sitting there for so long unused

pull the spark plugs out of it and squirt some automatic trans fluid in thru the spark plugs holes (don't reinstall them) and squirt some auto trans fluid down thru the nipples on the passenger side of the upper intake manifold. Let it sit for a few hours. Get a a large breaker bar and socket and try to turn the large bolt in the middle of the of the main pulley on the crank. Turn it clockwise ( as you face the engine) but don't try to force it if it doesn't want to turn.

Let us know if it turns easily. If you can turn it... put the starter back on and try starting it.

Do the headlights work? Radio? Turn your headlights on and then try to start the car... do the lights go dim? Make sure your battery is strong enough to engage the starter. It might be low enough that it won't engage the relays for your instrument cluster.

actually i did hand crank the rotors 1 week ago with no problems and nothing work no head light or fog or turn signal or brake light but my windshield wipers do its weird

GreyGT-C 01-04-2011 09:45 PM

check the main fuse (100amp i think) fuse under the hood and make sure the battery isn't dead.

I've heard of the flywheel rusting to the clutch, be sure the tranny's in neutral when trying to start.

maAsSIvE AaTtAcK Rx7 01-05-2011 10:33 AM

hey guys do any of you live in Florida maybe we can get together and try to restore my car to its former glory and we can make it a project by fixing each others cars we can band together

Baldy 01-05-2011 10:55 AM

I'm in Florida, but I don't have the time or motivation to fix my own car (been on jack stands a few years), let alone some else's. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.gif Good luck!

thatpoorguy 01-05-2011 12:02 PM

Dang I didn't know that baldy, what's wrong with yours?

maAsSIvE AaTtAcK Rx7 01-05-2011 12:32 PM

listen that's why we need to band together so we can fix each others cars and we can filly ave these beasts on the road like they belong i dont have much time neither but on or 2 days out of the month to repair something we relay love

maAsSIvE AaTtAcK Rx7 01-05-2011 11:20 PM

so listing guys hears the scoop i took time today found out 2 relay fusses were busted iso i replace them i found a battery next to the dumpster it was a perfect match funny right. the battery had the perfect cold crank amp and regular amp but it was drained so i took it to advance auto and charged it then i put it on the car and all the light exept the fog light don't work but that's the least of my troubles know my brake light is on all the time and i put fuel and the starter back on turned the key and it turns but it wont turn over going to try again tomorrow ill let you guys know whats going on

thatpoorguy 01-06-2011 06:24 AM

If a battery was by a dumpster it probably has a bad cell. As for the brake light, check your brake fluid level.

maAsSIvE AaTtAcK Rx7 01-06-2011 11:34 AM

yea i know but am just using it for know so i can work out the kinks

maAsSIvE AaTtAcK Rx7 01-07-2011 09:26 AM

so i fixed the brake light its was very simple to fix ..underneath the brake pedal there is a little red stick and on the peddle itself there is a hole if its not cover with something the stick wont go in to stop the brake signal so i filled the whole with a screw done on to the next phase

Baldy 01-07-2011 10:10 AM

haha, I've had the exact same thing happen on my old FC. I'm guessing there used to be a rubber plug or something there, I think I ended up taping a piece of metal to the pedal to block the hole.

maAsSIvE AaTtAcK Rx7 01-07-2011 01:11 PM

yea ts a hard amber piece or rubber
