howz it going everyone, its being a while since my last post, hi king fd howz it going man car still going good? ok im about to get me some new mags, ive allways wanted these ones, im still keeping the old ones four trackdays and stuff like that, so these ones are more four the look really. now i was talking to the man at the tyre shop were im geting the mags, they are 19s 8.5 & 9.5 rear, and i told him i want 275 or even 285 on the rear, yep that will be sweet, and then he tells me i could get 295 on the rear, i would love to have big tyres on the rear but that sounds to big four that rim. we are going to have a play with the tyre sizeing in say two weeks, should have the car back by then, and see what fits. the car is a 96 rx7.

so does a 295 sound way to big? and how big can i go in the front?

thanks people.

i allso got me some new plates.

Hey bro. That plates sweet. Can't help you too much on the tyre sizing, I'm still running stock. Good idea just to try and see what fits best.

Rims are very nice.. Since you are going with a 19s.. I would get as wide as I can. You loose quite a bit of contact when you go that big.. Just make sure it doesn't rub by getting the right offset.

for 8.5 width, widest you could go would be 265s... maybe 275s. But your handling would be different.. I would stick to 245-255s front.

I personally think 18s are good size for FDs, 17s are perfect balance of look and handling (ton of tires to choose from), 19s are just too big and not enough choices for tires and tires are as much as rims themselves.
