I just purchased a 1993 rx-7, rebuilding the engine, automatic haha, yes i know thats pointless to have, im converting it ASAP, for now i want to toy with it and need some suggestions. I am having it ported when its rebuilt, have apexi intake, exhaust. Need suggestions on where to start to get some major power. Starting with getting boost controller, turbo timer. Needed suggestions on brands for some of it. Wanted suggestions on whats better, Front Mount or Vertical Mount Inter Coolers. Where should i start? does automatic really hurt the performance that bad? its not as fun of course. I have a decent budget but SUGGESTIONS would be great. Thanks yall. Glad to be a member of the RX-7 club.

 

spend all your money after you get it rebuilt on getting a manual trans

 

yeah the auto robs a lot of power and sucks in general. plus they arent that reliable, at least the fc ones arent. and it really sucks when you show the car, especially if its modded, to someone and theres an auto shifter right there.



after that do a pfc and have it tuned. that will clear up a lot of power, and if you want to do more extensive mods youll need one anyway.

haha i simply meant, being a proud over of an rx-7, not this being the club, meaning owners being the club, sorry bout the mixup, thanks for the suggestions so far.
