I just had to send my turbos off for rebuild also. I have a very good friend that lives close to me, P'cola FD. He is doing the engine rebuild and helping me with everything else aswell. Without his help there is no way I could get this done. I just couldnt afford to send everything off to a far away shop. Wait, I cant afford what im doing now!

Check this site out http://www.jrx7.com/auto5speedswap.htm

Keep your eye out for parts cars. Like on the forums and thepartstrader. However it will probally be cheaper to find someone in Floridia, so that you can go inspect and pick up the parts yourself. BTW, where do you live? Some of the things are best to buy new like the clutch master and slave cylinders, mazdaformance.com.

Personally, I'd just sell the auto car and buy a 5 speed.

That is what I planned to do before my engine blew. But now that I've got started with the conversion, I see that it is not that hard of a job. Plus if you already invested time and money in to your car, its kinda of hard to get rid of.

I totaly agree, but selling an AUTO FD is harder than making a million dollars now a days. People don't want them, including me, LOL.

You are correct. I tried to sell mine for several months. Using ebay and all over the net. I had lost of interest, but nobody acted really serious until I blew the engine. By then it was to late. But when its all said in done, I'll prolly never be able to get rid of my car.

No they dont have to come from the same year. The only thing that is "year specific" is the ECU.
