Need Pic's Of Us Spec Stock Engine Mounts
#41
just changing them shouldnt be hard...although i can expect a hefty bill though
basically all you need to do is pull the engine....swap the mounts....reinstall
if youve never pulled an engine before it might be hard to do....but its basically a matter of draining the fluids, disconnecting oil and coolant lines, disconnecting the ecu wires, unbolting the tranny, and taking the mounts off from the chassis
and chris....... fc solids!?!?!

You can do it in the car... just unbolt the two 14mm's and jack up the engine. Then pull the 6 17mm's and remove the two mounts and put every thing back in reverse order.. Not that hard, but somtimes the 17mm's can be a paint to get out because there isn't much room to work..

can i do it with a normal jack... or should i just wait until i get an engine lift? what would you say.... haha
on one hand i want to install them while my tranny and clutch are out... just more room,
on the other hand i know it would be alot easier using an engine lift...

oh...well you dont HAVE to pull it out
but sometimes it can be hard to get to the brackets with p/s and a/c and the twin turbos and all
for me it would prolly be eaiser to just pull it... :-p
on my car it would be a sinch to change them...jack engine up a bit and unbolt the brackets ....theres too much room
and speaking of doing it on my car... CHRIS MAKE FC ONES!
