Does anyone currently have the MS wing installed on an FD? I need some pics taken of the hatch with it on there. Preferably one with a straight edge against the front edge of the mounts. I need to know how much room there is from where the glass retaining rubber ends to where the wing mounts begin. So.... if i cut my hatch into 2 peices.... how far back can i come with it before i'm into the area used by the mounts.

A measurement from the rear edge of teh hatch to the straight edge along the front of the wing mounts would be helpful also.

a CF or FG hatch isn't rigid enough to support the downforce generated by this wing at high speeds. I have wear marks on my tail lights already from where it compresses the stock hatch down 1/4" and the wing supports rub. I'm chopping the hatch in half and hard mounting the rear half of it to hardpoints tied into the chassis/cage work in the back. I'm also gonna run the fuel cell filler port up thru the hatch under the wing. I will be able to build a bulkhead from the leading edge of the rear strip of the hatch to the truck floor to seperate the fuel cell from the passenger compartment incase of wreck/fuel spill/ fire. I'll still be able to remove the front half of the hatch independently of the rear half.

Understand now or are you sorry you opened that can o' worms?

Cause all he does is sit in Balad all day at his computer, contemplating ways to spend the hundreds of thousands of dollars they are paying him
