FD'ers...I'm in need of your combined wisdom (in my best Chris Jericho) agaaain. To rid me and my baby of that gawdawful clunking, I scored some new bushings from Brian at Mazdaformance...that was Brian at Mazdaformance, because I couldn't find bushings at a better price...okay, let's leave the commercial part of this, and get to the real deal. Need help/instructions/guidance on how to put them there rascals in. Normally, I wouldn't ask for instructions on how to put something in, and believe me, my female has never asked, "Is it in yet?"....damn her. But anyway, could you all throw me some tips and tricks for changing out these bushings? I really want to avoid $85 an hour at the local *** rape, er, uh (Mazda) shop, because this really doesn't seem to be something beyond the ability of your typical The Hun loving guy. Agreed? I do appreciate any, and all, assistance. You all definitely came through during my flooding problem, especially you ONBOOST. Props out...

So, I guess I'll be down for a couple more. But, that's cool. I've slapped enuff Honda *** in the past two weeks to last a bullshit 350's lifetime. Hell, most hoopty jackass mobiles (Hondas) die when an FD rolls into their close proximity. Maybe I'll just get out and push my rod around town. I guarantee I'll still pull a win. But that's enough for now. The is kicking in, and I'm starting to hate the playas even more than I do. Remember, though, on that day we hook, the brew's on me....guaranteed.

I think my return might have been showing as "NO LOCATION" I would never want to display anything less than what I am and what I feel. I'm stationed at Scott AFB, IL. Been in the Air Force for 17 years, I'm super proud of, and die for each one of our guys that falls in Iraq or the 'Stan, or wherever they are, doing shitheel jobs in bullshit places. Sorry to get on the soapbox, but, hell, I had a spare minute. You all take it easy. Peace. -Gary

The outer ball joints (#26-250 on the mazda parts dept diagram) can be pressed out using sockets, bolts, and washers. Maxcooper did a good write up on this procedure on his website, maxcooper.com. I'm not sure if the inner bushing/bearings can be done in a driveway. I had all of mine replaced last week. The shop that did them used a big press and heated up the arms to get the old bushings to slide out easier. Even with all the proper tools it took them a couple hours. I generally hate paying people to work on my car for me but I gladly wrote a check for this one.

Good luck.
