yes you will lose power. by using the silencer you make your exhaust extremely restrictive...have you seen the silencer? it makes your exhaust go through a 1.5 or 2 inch hole. i got one with my gt spec exhaust and ranit for all of 15 minutes before i said f that took it out. but the silencer does do exaclty what it is made to do....make your car quiet..

Apexi n1's are a nice exhaust but the silencers are extremely restrictive. I found out the hard way.

N1 is a nice exhaust, its what i'm using. But be prepared, its very loud with a downpipe and midpipe. If you still have your stock cats then it is pretty quiet and deep... but once you open the exhaust up, its really loud.

Don't expect it to have a deep tone, but it is bass-y(sp?) My car rattles other peoples floorboards.. and the pictures on their walls in their house when i drive by...

Get a Greddy Evolution instead. It has larger diameter tubing AND is quieter. I started with the N1 dual and dumped it after a couple months for the greddy PE. The evolution is the same muffler as the PE but the canister has been raised so it doesn't look like you're towing a beer keg behind your car anymore.

The Apexi scilencers seem like a stupid way to solve the problem. My friend has tried to justify it to me by saying he can take them out for the track. Doesn't make him look any more impressive when I beat his *** stop light to stop light on the street.

Why spend $400+ on an aftermarket exhaust when you only get the benefits for about 2% of your total driving time (ie those 1 or two days out of the year you go to the track)?

In contrast The greddy Evo and PE systems flow BETTER, sounds DEEPER and are QUIET until you get on it.

My 2 cents......ok more like 2000 cents

I would rather rather have a PFS catback anyday over a greddy.

Why? Is it straight through? What is the pipe (not tip) size? That's great that you have an opinion, but please explain how you arrived at it.

The PE is one of the most functional systems out there. Rotary performance used to use it on their drag cars. For comparsion purposes I put together an incomplete list of specs for the 3 systems we're discussing. I got the apexi info from RX7.com, the pfs info from the PFS site (nice music btw, one of my favorite stations) and the greddy info from http://www.imoto.com/shopsite_sc/sto.../greddype.html

BRAND TUBING DIA STRAIGHT THROUGH WEIGHT PRICE

Greddy 80-94mm YES

Apexi 76-96mm YES

PFS 76mm ???(Ryan??)
