I wonder if one of these could be made to work on the FD whithout hacking up the crossmember under the engine. It would be nice to have almost 7 quarts of oil capacity vs. the 4 quarts stock. If not, anyone else make a higher capacity pan that is compatible with the FD? Thanks.

I like it, wonder if it will clear the steering rack / crossmember in the FC. Can any of you take some measurements for us ?

would that mean you have to change your oil less often?

the bigger sump assures that the engine is getting oil and it has cleaner oil to suck in. all the sediments are further away. the contaminants will still contaminate the oil just the same. oil changes should be the same. its just "reliability" mod.

you can make a deeper sump by cutting the sump off of one leaving the flange and a little bit below. . . sizing everything up and cutting the sump out of another. then take the 2nd sump that you cut off and welding it to the pan with the flange on it. the thickness of the metal will make it offset a bit so it will sit lower. it is only a little bit deeper but it works.
