Thumbs up

I have a 93 touring that just turned 45k miles. It has a cat-back and downpipe and just a drop-in k+n. Do you guys think I'd be alright to put on a good cold-air intake without running the risk of boost spike and all the other nasty stuff. What do you guys think? Thanks......

Yea I would not worry to much about an intake. Your really not going to gain anything over the K&N drop in though to be honest.

kewl..thanks. A little upset to know I won't gain much though. But I'm still gonna do it now, I think that if nothing else, it cleans up the engine bay a lot. I appreciate the advice. The other club you alwasy get the "JUST DO A DAMN SEARCH!!!" definately a better club over here...

open element filters made the turbo sound louder and spool quicker over the stock airbox. From my experience anyway. I don't know if you care about the sound at all, but get the intake hardpipes while your at it, you'll hear the turbos more with those metal intake pipes as well. And ebay sells them for 20 bucks or so (yes they fit good on my car)

Cool

I see I've started a "rx7-club licks donkey ballz" thread...I'm alright with that

I'm also a big fan of hearing the turbos spool up up louder, so that makes me feel better about doing it. After having an 88 'vert for a couple years, I've found what I;ve been missing...turbos spooling up gives me wood.

I'll have no more of this!

Turbos give me wood, too. I have a habit of slowing down and speeding up all the time on the freeway just to maintain my turbo-rection.

As for intake recommendations, the APEX'i ones are good, but difficult to fit and a bit of a PITA. I wish I would've sprung for the Blitz unit. Foam isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

the Apex'i ones were a damn pain in the *** to fit right. But IMO they are the nicest looking and best filter element for the price (cheapest) lol
