All I know is this:

Black Manual FD:

Currently runs fine.

Comes with a Mazda Reman. Engine as well.

$10k for the running FD and a Reman. Engine.

My concern is that this sounds too good to be true. Only if, (and something I am asking about) a Reman. Engine from mazda is somewhat decent....is it? I know you can order ported engines from Pettit/Pineapple but given I want to simply have a new fresh engine....is a Reman. Engine from Mazda okay to have?

Also, Most FD's that have only 5-12k on new engine sell for $12-14k...so doesn't this price sound a bit off?

Who knows, the car isn't listed online, and I am going to go today to see all the details. I'll post back here after I visit. Please give me some outlooks on the engine/deal.

check the car out body wise. 10k sounds pretty good. is he seeling u the running car plus a reman as a spare??if the car is mechanically id say go for it. if u dont like reman i can take it off yur hands.lol

remans are supposedly better than any shop sans the porting, cause of warraty.

Okay, well here's the story of my journey:

Windy as hell today, so as I'm driving along these fun 45-55mph twisties I keep turning the corner to see half a tree lying on my side of the road and have to swerve around them. In the meantime I keep running over smaller sticks and twigs and keep hearing it bang up the bottom of my anti-handling FWD Integra...

In 25 min I am there....found the FD. Owner wasn't home. But guess what....It's PURPLE! Yes, Purple, not RSP Purple, but more like Civic Vtec model purple or whatever. Blah,...Upon further inspection I see it has a minor dent (no crack/chips, easily fixable) but way too many mods I'd want to fix up:

Vielside Sides and Rear

Huge Aluminum Spoiler

Red Painted Interior (WTH? The car is purple!)

No dash (Doing mods? who knows)

Aftermarket 17" Chrome rims (not to my taste) with Cross drilled/slotted rotors and brake pads.

Only cool aspect is that it has JDM style tail lights, JDM front end (Clear 99Spec signals?), mazdaspeed hood.

Needless to say, I left a note anyways and I'll have more details soon. Maybe if he has some stock parts I can deal with it, and just get the car painted asap (Back to stock, whatever stock was...if not then some cool color). $10k for this car with stock parts and the reman. engine would be sweet.

Oh, and when I first got out of my car (I was a bit past his house down the road) these 2 huge dogs from a neighbor were running for me barkin like crazy so I got in my car (LOL) and cruised around and went down into his driveway and next to the rx7 (so they couldn't see me, after they went back to the house).

Also, I get back in the car after all of this and smell dog biscuits....you guessed it....all over the bottom of my shoe and now the floormat of my car...had to smell it the whole ride home (well, I stopped and used some leaves/twigs to rub some off but still)....BLAH!
