^ no doubt there, at those pressures you would crap out a seal after very few runs.

last time i talked to him, his turbo outlasted his engine.... and his turbos were smoking when he got the 10.9

Let's see if I clear things up......

While running stock ports (~52k miles) and stock non-seq turbos car ran 11.56 and 11.59 @120 and 122mph on Nittos on Nov-2002 running 1.08kg/cm on PowerFC.

In January I dynoed the car on pump gas up to 18 psi and menaged the 402rwh/356rwt and also 365 rwt w/ 19psi still on same motor and turbos.

During the snow storm in March-2003 I decided to port the motor(nothing broken).

With 1500 miles on a ported motor I cracked the tip on a 3 piece seal while pushing the leading timing to its limit......removed rear plate ..........replaced the broken seal and back went the back plate. Motor has been running like a charm since then with no other issue other then boost drop.

Now as far as the twins.......I race them at 17-18 psi and I'm defenitely pushing them over their limit....but that's what it took !!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many did I replace????

after the ported motor I replaced them due to smoking 4-5 months later.

In Nov after running 11.08 and 11.11 @ 125mph on Nittos drags.....I pushed to 19psi on the way home and broke the shaft on the front turbo on the Parkway.....sending the exhaust wheel out of my exhaust and lots of smoke.

Replaced the front turbo and finally it hit 10.9s......

I now have a single in there and will keep you guys updated ( on the same motor)......

All I have to say..........I loved the midrange power from those twins !!!!!!!!!!

***Infinity turbos with the abraidable compressor housing are actually 1mm smaller then std FD turbos for quicker spool-up.....but will not outflow the std FD turbos as far as max power.
