after installing my block off plates thursday, and honing out the double throttle butterflies, i resarted the car. i adjusted the idle again, and let the car warm up. well, upon dirving the car, i noticed that the air-fuel ratio on the autometer guage was reading lower, like in the middle of the stoich range......help please?????

What are you using for fuel control?

Yeah when you change the fuel system at all the Factory ECU NO LIKEY......

APEC or NEW ACM will control everything

maybe recheck all the intake and intercooler piping.....

but it sound like ECU

actually, if someone out there might agree, i have found another possibility. the ground that is the smaller of the 2 on the engine hoist, i believe to be a secure ground for the o2 wire, right? well, i am noticing MORE THAN USUAL changes in the readings with the electrical loads on it. touching the brake, turning the lights on/off, and turning the ac on. all of these functions LOWER the reading substantially. i think that the issue is ground related.

as far as the mod of the block off plates are concerned, the only thing that i did that might affect the a/f ratio was taking out the double throttle butterflies.....

any one else agree.......

grounding could be but i've never seen. breaking and stuff having an effect on a/f is weird.

what about performace? any lag in boost, them it is a fuel control issue. Give us more details.

After i took off my air pump my idle went down quite a bit, it idles at about 400 now.. even when i turn the idle screw up it doesnt change. And it smells like it runs richer. I dont have a a/f guage right now, but you can smell the gas pretty well.
