Limp Mode

Take a wire and connect the connect the GRND and the TEN terminals in the diagnostics box in the engine bay.

Turn the key to ON, don't turn the car on though.

The check engine light should start to blink if you have error codes.

Short blink = 1

Long blink = 10

Add them up to find out your code.

If you have more than 2 error codes, there will be a long pause in between each code.

Take the numbers you get and look em up on http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/

The car WILL go into limp mode w/o a CE light on. Mine did the same thing you are describing after flooding real bad one day.

BINGO! It's fixed! Thanks for all the information fellas! I took her out and gave her hell for a while... Man did I miss this gaddam car!!! WOOOOOO!!!!!! Now it's time for full non-seq and midpipe!!!

When in limp mode does it idle very well or is it all messed up?

It idles and runs FINE in limp.. Just can't boost. As soon as it sees positive manifold pressure it craps out.





Oh, Mike... Sorry, I never read the code.. Just reset the ECU.
