I assume we are reading from the PFC? Apexi said right from their mouth the Knock sensor on the RX7 and their computer do not comunicate well, so reading are not 100%.



knock can be high after not driving for a while carbon build up. So after you run all the crap out and everything is clean that would be a better time to start looking at the readings, just dont take them a gospel.

Before I blew my first motor, my knock readings were around the 30ish range. When I swapped my two trailing plugs(front plug wire on the rear housing) It went from 30 to 159~. Then again to 161~....needless to say that I had erratic boost after that.



After I rebuild my engine, my knock was around the 40~ range under boost. When I swapped turbos, my knock would hit 120+...at 4000 rpms and -400vacuum(12 psi)...if that's really knock, how is it possible to knock at that range...especially below peak torque, not into boost, running 12.9 a/f...



It may or may not be knock. But check/double check your plug wires. And get a techedge wideband(or similar wideband)...it's the BEST investment I ever made on my car.
