Shes been in the shop almost all of december, but I should get her back in a few days.

Heres an idea of what's going on with her.

Full rebuild, twins @ 14psi, Apex'i PFC with commander, Apex'i Dual Element Intakes, Greddy Type-S BOV, Huge Greddy SMIC, Greddy TB elbow, Hardened 2mm Apex Seals, Hardened Corner Seals, ACT Clutch, Denso fuel pump, Greddy Profec-B, Brembo Drilled Slotted Rotors, SS Brake lines, SS clutch hydraulic line, full 3" Greddy Downpipe, midpipe, and catback, Autometer Boost AFR Water temp Oil Pressure Gauges

I've spent more than I should, but dammit, this is one of the few things in life that gives me pleasure anymore, other that Rx7widow https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Anyways, here's some pictures of some of the goodies that're already on. I'm so excited I got a chub.

Are you planing on running 14psi on stock injectors? I tried it once and at 15psi, my injectors top out at 92%

Hardened Corner Seals,

what kinda seals are you using?

ambassador_josh 01-03-2005 03:40 AM

I was told they're "hardened" seals from Atkins Rotary.

Yeah, stock injectors for now, I've been told I can run that much safely.

jspecracer7 01-03-2005 06:36 AM

Solid corner seals more likely.

Sounds like a solid setup, one that I'd want to mimick in my modest Fd.

However, 14psi on stock injectors? I thought this was kinda of pushing it, why not upgrade? Not a hard thing to do...

Are you keeping the Turbo's Sequential?

Finally, what shop?

ambassador_josh 01-04-2005 03:20 AM

The shop is Rotary Resource. As far as 14 psi goes, my mechanic has been running that in his for a couple of years now, and its his daily driver (and he delivers pizza in it on the side, for petes sake) without any adverse affects. I'll know if they're maxed out , and if so, I'll turn the boost back a bit until I can upgrade the injectors. Keep in mind that although the injectors are stock, the fuel pump is not. Its a denso 255 lph pump that SHOULD handle my setup.

I've been reading alot about the larger fuel pumps at:

http://www.turborx7.com/fuelsystem.htm

They say, "Please note that installing an upgraded fuel pump alone provides no performance benefit compared to stock."

and

"The bottom line is with a stock fuel system the injectors will be maxxed out before the fuel pump becomes inadequate."

Therefore, I'm not sure while you had a larger fuel pump installed by itself. Was the regulator upgraded? Just cu https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif rious.

Thanks,

Keith
